I've been published again!

Hello! Just a short post today to let you know that I have a few cards in the latest issue of the Australian Cardmaking, Stamping and Papercraft magazine (Vol 23, No 6).

For these first two, I used white embossing and watercolouring with Zigs. These were submitted quite a while ago, and they are the first two cards I ever made using my Zig Clean Color Real Brush markers!  I don't know what I would do without my Zigs now!
I used the Hello Lovely stamp set from Concord & 9th, and dies from Avery Elle.

I also had a card as part of the "All About Food" special feature - I used stamps from Hero Arts.

Masculine birthday

I quite like using background stamps (especially those from Hero Arts) - because I can usually get at least two cards from one background! I made this one back on April 22nd, but I only used half of it - here's the rest!
I like the look of the blues and greens against the gold embossed background - it looks a bit like stained glass. I stamped the sentiment from Clearly Gina K "lots of lines" and gold embossed it onto navy blue cardstock, then cut the panel so I could add the pattern above and below the sentiment.

Fusion: Chalkboard baking

Welcome to a new challenge at Fusion!
See, now, this is what happens when you take a sketch way to literally - right down to the colour scheme! LOL!

Mandala birthday card

I recently bought the Many Mandalas stamp set from Concord & 9th - I need some more practice lining the stamps up, but I thought this was OK for a first attempt.

Y
I Stamped the mandala layers with Versamark and white embossed onto Tim Holtz watercolour paper. I then coloured randomly with some blue and green Zig clean color real brush markers and sprayed with lots of water. The sentiment is die cut from C&9 Wonderful words dies, and stamped with the Many Mandalas set and the Perfectly Penned set.

Rainbow hello

Yet again, using up some more of a background that I made for an earlier card!

The background was stamped with the Highline Ironwork stamp from Hero Arts and white embossed, then coloured with Zig markers.  I cut the background with the hello die from Avery Elle, then used the die to cut some black cardstock. I then nestled the black die cut into the space left in the background. some Pretty Pink Posh sequins finished it off nicely :)

CAS-ual Fridays: CFC 174

Welcome to the latest CAS-ual Fridays challenge! This time, we're using a sketch:
http://cas-ualfridays.blogspot.com.au/

Do you recognise the colours and the pattern? I used up leftovers from the background I made for the last CAS-ual Fridays challenge, using Full on Floral! I cut the watercoloured panel using the Four Petals Fri-dies, and I added a few more using plain coloured cardstock scraps from my stash, and used glue dots to attach them in a 3x3 grid pattern to match the sketch. I stamped the sentiment from Wall Flower onto some vellum with Versafine onyx black ink and clear embossed it, and then attached it over the middle, along with some sequins.

Flower dot birthday

I had half of a watercoloured panel left over from a card I made for A Blog Named Hero in mid April, so I decided to turn it on its side and make another card.
I used the Hero Arts flower dot pattern background stamp (discontinued), coloured with Zig clean color real brush markers, added a strip of blue glitter paper, and finished with a sentiment from Wplus9
